Senior Pastor Job Opening

SEBC is searching for a pastor who is committed to preaching the Word of God and who is dedicated to equipping the saints and making disciples. 

You should know that we...
1) believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God.
2) are a rural, agricultural, multigenerational congregation with a long history.
3) enjoy a blended Sunday morning worship service with approximately 100 people in attendance.
4) emphasize the following ministries: children’s AWANA club, adult and
children’s Sunday school, and missions with a desire to grow Bible studies for the congregation.

Our lead pastor will be expected to...
1) train disciples and guide the church with the elders.
2) preach and teach the whole counsel of God.
3) provide counseling and conduct weddings, funerals, baptism of new believers, home visitation and other church activities.

The best candidate for us would...
1) must be a male, born-again believer, not divorced, who meets the qualifications for eldership described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9
2) would be a continuing student of God’s Word with a vibrant spiritual and family life.
3) would be passionate about preaching the Word of God with an emphasis on the Gospel message.
4) would be a skilled leader with an aptitude for corporate preaching as well as personal discipleship.
5) be in agreement with the SEBC Statement of Faith.
6) would be excited to get involved in the local communities and help our church evangelize the lost and meet needs.
7) would have seminary training with a degree in a Bible related field (preferred, not required).
8) would have a youthful spirit and would like the opportunity for a long tenure (preferred).
