- Meet Our New Pastor -
August is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. Whether it’s advancing a new grade, starting a new sport or
moving away to college, August is often when change begins.
Sterling Evangelical Bible Church of Sterling Kansas has recently welcomed a new
Pastor. The Charlie and Sarah Busch family arrived at the end July and wish to extend a
friendly hello to the residents and visitors of the Sterling Community.
Pastor Charlie and his wife, Sarah, are both Nebraska natives and have added four
children and one son-in-law to their 26 years of marriage. Charlie has an MS in Religious
studies from Calvary Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO. and has previously
served in four other churches. The Busch crew enjoy varied activities. In his down time,
Charlie may be found on motorcycle rides, grilling/smoking meat, or immersed in an
intriguing novel. Sarah homeschools their younger children, loves all things in the
kitchen, and relaxes with craft-style painting. Charissa is currently interning with Rocky
Mountain Church in Estes Park, CO. with the promise of a part time position in
September. She is married to Campbell Harris, who works in landscaping and is
passionate about all things outdoors. Josiah currently lives in Arnold, NE. where he has
worked doing lawn care and butchering. Jarah is a sophomore and is looking forward to
her new opportunities here in Sterling. Zachary is 10 and is the youngest Busch sibling.
He keeps the family on its toes with his energetic creativity,
interest in history and desire to understand details.
The family invites you to introduce yourself, contact them with needs, or visit them at
church activities. They are thrilled to be in the community and look forward to building
new and vibrant relationships. The Busches are eager to serve and offer encouraging
